Welcome to Hamsa Lounge! I’m so happy you’re here.

My passion & dedication for all things yoga, meditation, art & craft has evolved into Hamsa Lounge.  My ultimate intention is to create a place for learning, gathering, creating & growing.  I am grateful for the opportunity to share this space with you.

A little background about me…

My journey on the yogic path began in 1998 when I was first introduced to yoga. I walked out of class with a type of euphoria that I couldn’t put into words.  I was hooked in an instant & fell fast in love with this new passion.

At the time, practicing regularly helped me cope with anxiety & depression. To put it simply, it made me a happier person.  I was working with jewelry at my parents’ pewter manufacturing company & studying art & graphic design at the University of Central Florida.  My two worlds of yoga & art happily united & supported each other.

The great reveal…

In 2010, a few years after moving to Columbus, OH.  I was blessed with a disabling injury which left me traumatized & unable to walk freely without pain.  You read correctly-I call this time a blessing! I didn’t see it in the moment, but this would be the pivotal year that revealed how therapeutic & healing yoga actually was! It has worked in previous years to help manage my stress & keep me happy but I never imagined it would actually help lift me out of the ‘rock bottom’ I found myself in that year.  After many months of healing my body of pain & releasing my soul of suffering through the practice of yoga & meditation, I knew that I needed to share its’ transformative magic with others.

The practice of yoga, meditation & pranayama (breath control) also supported me through 2 difficult pregnancies. These practices were a Saving Grace through so many physically & emotionally demanding times.

Embarking on a new path…

In 2013, while working as a freelance graphic artist, I decided to embark on a new career path & a year later, I graduated from the Yoga on High Teacher Training Institute in Columbus, OH.  I continued my yogic studies & earned certifications in Prenatal Yoga, Meditation, Sekoia Multi-sensory method, Accessible Yoga & Pranayama.  I spent many blissful hours under the teachings of some of the most inspiring teachers of yoga & meditation which have since helped deepen my own practice & enrich my teaching.

Today…

Today, you can find me leading weekly classes, hosting yoga events, teaching private groups & leading chakra & meditation teacher trainings. I remain a forever student & grateful for the opportunity to continue to learn and evolve with each passing season.

I enjoy pulling endless inspiration from the beauty of nature & the colorful world around me. I find pleasure in infusing these experiences into creatively themed classes, paintings & jewelry.

Yoga, meditation & art are ever-evolving systems that continue to nourish my mind, body & spirit with their wonderful gifts. My hope is for them to do the same for you!

With much Love + Gratitude,

Natalie
