The Root Chakra, Muladhara is symbolized by the color red & serves as the grounding center in our lives. The Muladhara is energetically located at the base of the spine & is responsible for our sense of safety, stability and security on this earthly journey. When our root chakra is open, it means our basic physiological and safety needs are being met, and we have the resources that allow us to survive.

Why 9 beads?

The number 9 holds significance in numerology. Malas are traditionally made of 108 beads or increments of 9. The pocket mala is intended for travel & to use as a quick meditation tool whenever you might need it. Simply attach it to your keychain stack or a handbag so it travels with you wherever you go!

The practice:

Hold the first round bead above the pendant between your thumb & middle finger. The thumb will be the one to pull the mala back as the middle finger keeps it steady. In your mind’s eye or out loud, repeat your mantra, prayer or intention 9 times.

The silver transition beads can be used as a time to pause & switch a mantra if you prefer. Repeat a mantra for each bead that is pulled. Once you come to the end of the Mala, you can complete the practice or repeat moving backwards & continue as many rounds as you wish!

Natural Gemstones vary in color & pattern which makes each piece unique. Please keep in mind that the item may look slightly different from the photos due to these natural variations.
