Why 9 beads?

The number 9 holds significance in numerology. Malas are traditionally made of 108 beads or increments of 9. The pocket mala is intended for travel & to use as a quick meditation tool whenever you might need it. Simply attach it to your keychain stack or a handbag so it travels with you wherever you go!

This pocket mala is hand crafted using 100% natural semi precious stone beads. It is double strung for longevity & adorned with a beautiful lead-free pewter pendant & stainless steel keychain ring. A signature cotton muslin keepsake pouch & enclosure card is included with each piece. The 8mm gemstones used in this pocket mala are Lapis Lazuli, Lilac Stone & Green Aventurine. These gemstone colors are associated with the 3rd eye, Crown & Heart chakras.

The practice:

Hold the first round bead above the pendant between your thumb & middle finger. The thumb will be the one to pull the mala back as the middle finger keeps it steady. In your mind’s eye or out loud, repeat your mantra, prayer or intention 9 times. The silver transition beads can be used as a time to pause & switch a mantra if you prefer. Repeat a mantra for each bead that is pulled. Once you come to the end of the Mala, you can complete the practice or repeat moving backwards & continue as many rounds as you wish!

Mantra inspirations:

I see clearly & trust my intuition.

I am one with all that is.

I am kind to myself & others.
